Overview
At Riseup Labs, we believe in creating opportunities that truly matter. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of the 2nd Phase Closing Ceremony of the Her Power Project, an initiative designed to provide women with access to technology, training, and the tools to shape their future.
This incredible achievement is part of a larger collaboration with the Bangladesh government, which aligns with national efforts to promote ICT education and empower women across the country.
The ceremony took place across Joypurhat Upazila, Gomostapur Upazila, and Chapainawabganj Upazila, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds. With newly acquired IT skills, participants are now equipped to explore opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Why “Her Power” Matters?
The world is evolving, and technology is at the heart of this transformation. Yet, for many women, access to tech training remains a barrier.
That’s where Riseup Labs, in collaboration with the Bangladesh government, steps in with the Her Power Project—to equip women with essential IT skills, advancing the nation’s ICT division and giving them the tools to step confidently into the future.
Here’s why the Her Power IT Training initiative stands out:
- Empowering Women Locally: Focused on upazilas like Joypurhat, Gomostapur, and Chapainawabganj, the program reaches those who need it the most.
- Tailored IT Training: From basic computer skills to advanced IT modules, the program meets participants where they are.
- Real-Life Impact: With new skills, women can access better job opportunities, become entrepreneurs, and transform their communities.
A Look Back at the 2nd Phase
The Her Power 2nd Phase Closing Ceremony has been nothing short of extraordinary. From classrooms to communities, women across the Joypurhat, Gomostapur, and Chapainawabganj Upazilas are rewriting their stories—and their futures.
Here are some of their incredible voices:
“I never thought I’d learn these skills, let alone dream of using them for a job. Her Power opened doors I didn’t know existed.”
— Graduate, Gomostapur Upazila
“This training made me believe in myself. I’m now planning to start my own business and inspire others in my village to do the same.”
— Participant, Chapainawabganj Upazila
“For the first time, I feel I can be independent. The skills I’ve learned here are my ticket to a brighter future.”
— Trainee, Joypurhat Upazila
A Note from the Project Manager
“Seeing these women grow in confidence and skill is why we do what we do. At Riseup Labs, we believe in the power of education and technology to transform lives, and the Her Power Project proves that with the right opportunities, anyone can achieve greatness.”
Md. Ashraful Alam (Project Manager, Riseup Labs)
