Riseup Labs supported the ICT Division of Bangladesh in delivering offline digital skills training for rural women. The program trained 960 participants across 12 upazilas in Rajshahi division through Graphic Design Web Development and Digital Marketing courses.
Her Power is a national women empowerment initiative focused on helping rural Bangladeshi women gain practical ICT skills and become more self-sufficient. Riseup Labs collaborated with the ICT Division of Bangladesh to train 960 women across three phases with coursework mentorship marketplace exposure device support and learning access.

The program combined structured coursework communication training mentorship and access support to help rural women build market-ready digital skills.
The six-month program included four months of subject-specific coursework one month of English and buyer communication and one month of mentorship.
Riseup Labs trained 960 women under the Women Freelancer category across Graphic Design Web Development and Digital Marketing tracks.
Participants received high-configuration laptops to reduce access barriers and support continued skill development. Monthly travel allowance was also provided.
Learners received practical guidance on creating marketplace accounts communicating with clients and improving freelance profiles or businesses.
The program delivered in-person training while also making learning materials available online for continuous access.
The initiative helped participants build in-demand digital skills that support financial independence and wider inclusion in the technology workforce.

Maria Santos is the Vice President of Global Sales at Riseup Labs, representing the company from the Philippines to international clients. With expertise in BPO, ITO, and KPO, she helps organizations scale operations, optimize processes, and achieve measurable results. Her career spans outsourcing, technology solutions, and knowledge services, covering the full client lifecycle from acquisition to long-term partnerships. Before outsourcing, Maria worked as a scientist and product developer, sharpening her analytical and problem-solving skills.
