Concluding its Tokyo Game Show exhibition, Riseup Labs is now heading to Singapore for Gamescom Asia 2024, happening tomorrow. Gamescom needs no introduction. In one word, it is the largest games event in the world taking place every year in Cologne, Germany. Given its worldwide appeal and massive turnout, Gamescom now has affiliate events happening in key regions around the globe. Since 2021, Singapore has been hosting Gamescom Asia, bringing the gaming world to this Asia Pacific hotspot. 

Gamescom Asia is all set to draw a massive turnout with its impressive showcases, events, and special attractions. Casting a spotlight on Asian game developers and industry forerunners, Gamescom Asia also serves as a major platform for international releases in Asia. For this year, Gamescom Asia is expecting over 40,000 visitors with 150+ exhibitors from Asia Pacific and beyond.

Let’s take a look at the Business Expo and Conference sessions. This is where gaming industry players and heavyweights gather to showcase their creations and share knowledge. Accessible only to industry personnel, it is a major event to ink business deals. Exhibitions, presentations, one-on-one meetings, a spotlight for indie games, investment circles, and pitch competitions are listed for this year’s Business Expo segment. 

The conferences, on the other hand, will dissect trends, technology, and gaming innovations. It will also offer profound insights into proven business, game design, and marketing strategies, focusing on Asia and beyond. Along with sharing insights, the speakers and attendees eagerly seek to invest in Asia. Additionally, the Gamescom 2024 speaker lineup will include leaders from PlayStation, Sega, Xbox, LightSpeed Studios, and major industry players.

An Exuberant Gaming Adventure Awaits

The “Entertainment Expo” will offer a weekend of gaming extravaganza open to fans and the general public. From gameplays to main stages, cosplays, and meet-and-greets, there’s a wide assortment of gaming entertainment planned for the event. For context, the itinerary will include the “latest video game (reveals), esports tournaments, hardware showcases, merchandising, board games galore, live performances, meet & greet with influencers, and much more.” (Gamescom Asia, n.d). As for the Main Stage, it will feature live performances, gameplay with special guests, panel discussions, cosplays, and much more, all part of the 2-day event.
