Industry and Academia: An Unstoppable Synergy

Riseup Labs has just returned from a remarkable career fair event at Rajshahi University. The team set off into yet another bustling fair, destined for the state-of-the-art campus of BRAC University. It is always a refreshing experience to meet the eager and talented learners on campuses. Universities are the breeding ground of knowledge, innovative ideas, and the next big thing. And when enterprise-driven industry insights merge with the vast knowledge pool of universities, big things happen. This synergy underlines one of the purposes of career fairs.

Inspiring Talents: Our Experience at BRACU

For stats and graphs sake, Riseup Labs was able to meet more than a thousand aspiring professionals, receiving over 500 CVs. Yet the experience of meeting prospective talents was no less inspiring. The team had an exhilarating time discussing the ventures, vision, and opportunities at Riseup Labs. Deep conversations and insightful discussions filled our entire time at the fair. There was even an exchange of great ideas and up-and-coming technology that students were learning about, igniting our curiosity just the same.

Bringing industry perspectives, the RUL team too had the opportunity to inform and share insights with aspirant job seekers. The tech sector in Bangladesh is ever-expanding, with opportunities emerging across its many subfields. From cloud computing to IoT to machine learning and game development, there is no shortage of opportunities suited to one’s interests and specializations. The event therefore provided a prime platform to inspire the next generation to identify their strong suits and choose their desired paths. Finally, as the industry representative, we played our part in welcoming the students to solve real-world problems and honing their skills with practical, hands-on experiences.

Final Thoughts

For the Riseup Labs team, participating in the BRAC University Career Fair was a rewarding experience. It was a great opportunity to reach a talented pool of thinkers and changemakers.
