Riseup Labs, a next-generation global IT service and technology solution provider company, joined forces with Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology’s (CUET) Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) Department. The partnership unfolded during the ‘ETE Infixon – 2023,’ a pivotal event that CUET’s ETE Department organized.
The seminar, held on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at CUET’s central auditorium. CUET VC Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam gave an opening speech at the seminar. After that, it featured insightful sessions by Riseup Labs on career development and opportunities tailored for CUET ETE students. They also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CUET’s ETE Department, specifically focusing on Internship and Employment Opportunities for students.

Seminar on ‘ETE Infixon – 2023’
Riseup Labs took the opportunity to provide career development insights and opportunities to CUET ETE students. It focused on mentorship initiatives, internship programs, and exposure to real-world industry challenges.

Session 1: Journey of Entrepreneurship
Riseup Labs’ Founder & CEO, Mr. Ershadul Hoque, shared his personal journey of entrepreneurship. Emphasized resilience and inspiring students to overcome challenges. He said,

Embrace each setback as an opportunity to learn, grow, and ultimately triumph. Session 2: Journey of Riseup Labs
Riseup Labs’ Head of Product Development, Mr. Md Rafiquzzaman, provided a comprehensive overview of Riseup Labs’ journey and background to the ETE students at Infixon 2023. He emphasized how Riseup Labs entered the BPO Industry from developing the National Mobile Application Award-winning game Tap Tap Ants. It presented students a glimpse into the company’s evolution and growth.
Mr. Md Rafiquzzaman also shared insight into career opportunities in Riseup Labs and in the IT Industry with the students. He shared the evolving prospects for the Bangladeshi young generation in the outer world also. He said,
Bangladesh has limitless possibilities in the IT sector. As we navigate this ever-changing landscape, it’s not just about embracing change; it’s about leading IT. I encourage every student to see their potential not just in Bangladesh but on the global stage. The opportunities for the Bangladeshi youth in the IT industry are continuously evolving and expanding.

Session 3: Job Interview Tips
Riseup Labs’ Senior HR Generalist, Mrs. Taslima Binta Hafiz, shared valuable insights on job interview tips, addressed common misconceptions, and offered guidance on effective interview preparation. She also advised on ‘Do’s and Don’ts of Job Interviews.’

As much attention as our students give to their studies, they give little importance to the interviews. They have confusions about their careers. You should eliminate the confusion and prepare for your interviews so the company picks you first.

Session 4: QA Activity, Roadmap, Industry Scope
A Sr. SQA Engineer of Riseup Labs delved into the quality assurance activities, the company’s roadmap, and the expansive scope of the tech industry. The interactive session allowed students to engage in a dynamic Q&A.
ETE Department Signed MoU with Riseup Labs
Following the enlightening sessions, CUET’s ETE Department and Riseup Labs formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on ETE Infixon – 2023.
Professor Dr. Md. Azad Hossain, Head of the ETE Department, and Riseup Labs’ Senior HR Generalist, Mrs. Taslima Binta Hafiz, signed the MoU. Professor Dr. Md. Jahedul Islam and Associate Professor Dr. Md. Saiful Islam of the ETE Department, were present during the MoU signing.
The agreement outlines collaborative efforts in areas such as Internship and Employment Opportunities, an Industry-Relevant Curriculum, Access to Resources, Research and Development, and Training Programs.
