Students from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) successfully completed an Industrial Attachment program on AI and Automation at Riseup Labs.
Held from September 3 to September 18, 2026, the program brought together nine CUET students for a series of eight training sessions led by professionals from Riseup Labs.
The training was designed to introduce students to the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern software development, testing, automation, and problem-solving. From understanding AI fundamentals to building an AI-assisted project, the students explored how AI is becoming part of everyday technology workflows.

Learning AI Beyond the Classroom
Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how technology teams develop software, test products, automate processes, and approach everyday challenges.
The Industrial Attachment program gave the CUET students an opportunity to explore these developments from an industry perspective. Across eight sessions, Riseup Labs professionals shared practical knowledge, workflows, and approaches that helped connect academic concepts with current applications of AI.
The training covered AI Fundamentals and AIDLC, providing students with a foundation for understanding AI-focused development processes.
Students were also introduced to AI agents and Prompt Engineering, exploring how effective instructions and AI-powered agents can support different tasks and workflows.
Another key area was Development with AI, where the students learned how AI can support and accelerate different stages of software development. The program also covered Software Testing with AI, highlighting the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern software quality assurance practices.
The learning journey concluded with Build & Present an AI-Assisted Project, giving students an opportunity to bring together concepts from the training and apply them to a project.
Learning from Riseup Labs Professionals
The sessions were conducted by professionals from different technical roles at Riseup Labs, allowing the students to learn from a range of industry perspectives.
Wasif Zaman, SQA Team Lead, shared his expertise from the software quality assurance perspective.
Mohammad Ridwanul Haque, Senior Software Engineer (Back-end), contributed insights from software engineering and back-end development.
Kazi Samin Mahmud, Product Analyst, brought a product-focused perspective to the training.
Habiba Akter, SQA Engineer, and Md. Saud Bin Shahid, Junior SQA Engineer, also shared their knowledge and experience with the participating students.
Together, the trainers helped students better understand how AI can be incorporated across development, product, and quality assurance workflows.
Building Skills for an AI-Driven Future
The Industrial Attachment was more than an introduction to individual AI tools. It focused on helping students understand how AI can become part of the broader technology development process.
Through topics ranging from prompt engineering and AI agents to AI-assisted development and software testing, the program exposed students to areas that are increasingly relevant in today’s technology industry.
Building and presenting an AI-assisted project also allowed the students to connect different parts of their learning and think about how AI can be applied to practical challenges.
Closing Ceremony and Certificate Distribution
The Industrial Attachment program concluded with a closing ceremony at Riseup Labs, marking the completion of the students’ training journey.
During the ceremony, the participating CUET students received certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the Training on AI and Automation program.
The closing session also provided an opportunity to reflect on the students’ learning experience and celebrate their participation throughout the eight training sessions.
The certificate distribution marked the end of an engaging learning journey and recognized the students’ efforts in exploring AI, automation, software development, and testing from an industry perspective.
