At Riseup Labs, continuous improvement is at the heart of how we build systems that matter. We are pleased to share that two rounds of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) have been successfully completed for the Nutrition Reporting System project — one in Sylhet and another in Chittagong. Both sessions were highly productive, featuring valuable discussions, insightful user feedback, and active participation from field teams across multiple schools.

Here are some of the best moments and key takeaways from these sessions.

Why These UAT Sessions Mattered

These UAT rounds were conducted on the existing build of the Nutrition Reporting System with a clear purpose: to assess its current status and learn directly from users about what could be added or improved to make the system more efficient, functional, and valuable.

The testing covered the full system end-to-end, with a focus on understanding user stories, gathering requirements, identifying existing issues, and collecting detailed feedback on UI/UX — covering everything from the interface design to individual features.

Nutrition Reporting System UAT Discussion

Date: 27–29 January 2026 Location: Sylhet

Over three days, the team conducted UAT sessions across five schools in Sylhet:

  • Biresh Chandun High School
  • Blue Birds High School
  • Model High School, Mirabazar
  • Moinunnessa Girls High School
  • Police Line High School

Across these venues, students and teachers engaged directly with the system, walking through its features and sharing firsthand feedback on usability, navigation, and overall experience. The sessions surfaced valuable insights into how the platform performs in real classroom and reporting environments, helping the team identify both strengths and areas for refinement.

Nutrition Reporting System UAT Talking

Date: 11–15 May 2026 Location: Chittagong

Building on the momentum from Sylhet, the team carried out a broader round of UAT across six schools in Chittagong:

  • Bagmoniram S.K. City Corp. Girls’ High School
  • Halishahar Ahmed Mia City Corp. Girls’ High School
  • Kapasgola City Corporation Girls High School
  • Bepza Public School & College
  • Panchlaish Balika High School
  • Bon Gobeshonagar High School

With a wider set of participants across diverse school environments, this round provided a richer pool of feedback — helping validate findings from Sylhet while uncovering additional perspectives on how the system fits into everyday use.

What We Learned

Nutrition Reporting System UAT Final

Across both cities, the feedback gathered painted a clear picture of where the Nutrition Reporting System stands today and where it can go next:

  • User stories and real workflows: Direct conversations with students and teachers revealed how the system is actually used day-to-day, helping the team validate assumptions and uncover gaps.
  • UI/UX feedback: Participants shared candid impressions of the interface, pointing to opportunities for a more intuitive and streamlined design.
  • Existing issues: Hands-on testing surfaced practical issues that may not be visible without real users interacting with the system in real settings.
  • Feature-level insights: Feedback spanned the full breadth of the system’s features, giving the team a comprehensive view of improvement priorities — from small UI tweaks to broader functional enhancements.

Looking Ahead

With UAT now completed across eleven schools in Sylhet and Chittagong, Riseup Labs has gathered a rich set of insights to guide the next phase of the Nutrition Reporting System. These findings will directly inform upcoming improvements — refining the UI/UX, addressing identified issues, and enhancing features to make the system more efficient, functional, and valuable for the communities it serves.

We remain committed to building this system hand-in-hand with the people who use it every day, ensuring it continues to grow into a tool that truly supports adolescent nutrition programs across Bangladesh.
