A Dubai-based client partnered with Riseup Labs to develop an Islamic app named Hifdh Tracker. The app is designed to make it easier for Muslims to memorize the Holy Quran with structured progress tracking, revision management, and teacher support. It will benefit learners, teachers, and institutions aiming to simplify and modernize the Hifdh journey.
Scope of Work
Riseup Labs is designing and developing the Android, iOS, and Admin Panel for Hifdh Tracker with the following core features:
1. Sabak (New Lesson)
This lets users log daily or weekly lesson progress and mark that as complete. This helps learners consistently track their new lessons.
2. Sabak Dhor (Revision of Recent Lessons)
Track revision progress of recently learned material and mark completion. Ensures lessons are retained effectively.
3. Dhor (Old Revision)
Monitor progress of older memorized content with structured tracking by quarters or paras. Helps maintain long-term retention.
4. Quran Tracking by Structure – Quarter (Rubu)
Track memorization by quarters of a Juz. Once all four quarters are completed, the app automatically marks the Juz complete. This helps users keep track of how many times each part has been revised.
5. Tracking by Para (Juz)
Similar to quarter tracking, but at the full Juz level. Enables learners to manage larger milestones.
6. Mistake Tracking and Annotation
Log mistakes in Sabak, Sabak Dhor, or Dhor. Mistakes are saved for later review, helping learners improve accuracy.
7. Marking Mistakes on the Quran Text
Provide two digital Quran formats (13-line Sulimani and 15-line Saudi-style). Users can highlight, underline, or add notes directly on the Quran text to mark mistakes.
8. Monthly Planning Features
Integrated planner to set monthly goals for completing quarters or paras. Users can add custom targets and deadlines to stay organized and on track.
9. Progress Updates
Automatically calculate and display completion percentages, providing learners with a clear view of their progress.
10. Audio Features
- Recital Recording: Record Sabak, Sabak Dhor, and Dhor for self-review or teacher feedback.
- Audio Playback: Listen back to recordings to check fluency and accuracy.
11. User-Friendly Design
Clean and intuitive interface, suitable for users of all ages. Simple navigation between lessons, mistake annotations, and planner.
12. Visual Quran Texts
High-quality, zoomable digital versions of the Sulimani and Saudi-style Quran for easy reading and marking mistakes.
13. Technical Requirements
- Cloud synchronization for multi-device access.
- Offline mode for tracking and Quran reading without internet.
- Cross-platform support (Android & iOS).
- Strong encryption to keep user data safe.
14. Admin and Teacher Features
The teacher dashboard is designed to monitor multiple students. This includes tools to review mistakes, provide comments, and suggest improvements. At the same time, the analytics show performance trends, such as reduced mistakes and completed Juz.
Conclusion
Hifdh Tracker is set to be a groundbreaking tool in Quran memorization, blending spiritual practice with modern technology. By supporting both learners and teachers, the app promises to bring discipline, structure, and motivation to Hifdh students worldwide. With this project, Riseup Labs continues contributing to impactful SaaS solutions that create global value.
