Job Context:
Riseup Labs looking for a Sr. Sound Engineer whose primary responsibility is to source, create, and design premium audio and sound effects for each game that enhances the consumer experience and interaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sound Design: Create original sound effects for characters, environments, and gameplay mechanics.
- Music Integration: Work with composers to integrate music that fits the game’s mood and style.
- Audio Implementation: Use middleware or game engines to implement dynamic audio experiences synchronized with gameplay.
- Mixing & Mastering: Balance sound layers to create polished audio experiences across platforms.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work with developers and designers to ensure the audio aligns with the game’s vision.
- Foley Recording & Voiceovers: Record and edit foley sounds and manage voiceover sessions for in-game dialogue.
- Audio Quality Assurance: Conduct sound checks to ensure high-quality audio without distortion or bugs.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from any reputed public or private university.
Additional Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Proficient in DAWs (Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro) and audio middleware (FMOD, Wwise).
- Game Engine Knowledge: Familiarity with PixiJS, Unity, Unreal Engine, and basic scripting for sound implementation.
- Creative & Artistic Skills: Ability to create soundscapes that enhance storytelling and player immersion.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teams.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures perfect synchronization of sound effects with gameplay and animations.
