Job Context:
Riseup Labs is looking for a highly motivated Junior AI Workflow Automation Engineer to support our team in designing, building, and optimizing automated workflows using AI-driven tools and low-code/no-code platforms. This role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset, basic programming knowledge, and a strong interest in AI, automation, and process optimization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing business processes to identify automation opportunities.
- Support in building workflow automations using tools such as Zapier, Make.com, n8n, Airflow, or similar platforms.
- Help train, test, and implement AI models for automation tasks (chatbots, data extraction, content generation, etc.).
- Create simple scripts for workflow integration (Python or JavaScript preferred).
- Support API integration between internal and external systems.
- Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing automations.
- Document workflow steps, automation logic, technical changes, and test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and operations.
- Conduct research on new AI tools, features, and best practices to enhance automation capabilities.
- Maintain basic data preprocessing tasks and support dataset labeling when required.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts (LLMs, NLP, prompt engineering).
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python/JavaScript).
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar).
- Understanding of APIs, JSON, and webhooks (training will be provided).
- Problem-solving mindset and interest in process automation.
- Basic understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) is a plus.
- Knowledge of version control (Git) is a bonus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.).
- Experience building small automation or AI projects.
