Job Context:
Riseup Labs is seeking an experienced AI Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in building custom Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Voice AI systems. The ideal candidate will design, develop, fine-tune, and deploy AI-powered solutions, including conversational AI, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and domain-specific language models. Additionally Highly experienced in Prompting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy custom LLM-based solutions
- Fine-tune and adapt open-source or proprietary LLMs for domain-specific use cases
- Develop and optimize NLP pipelines (text classification, entity extraction, summarization, intent detection, etc.)
- Build and integrate Voice AI systems (ASR, TTS, conversational voice agents)
- Integrate AI models with backend services and APIs
- Optimize model performance, latency, and cost
- Work with large datasets for training, evaluation, and inference
- Help with efficient prompting and prompt structuring
- Collaborate with product, backend, and frontend teams
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve model quality and reliability
- Ensure AI solutions follow best practices for security and privacy
Educational Requirements:
- B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from any reputed public or private university.
Additional Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering
- Strong experience with custom LLM development or fine-tuning
- Solid background in NLP techniques and frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Voice AI (Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech)
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face
- Experience with vector databases and embeddings (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
- Experience with REST/gRPC APIs and model deployment
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering and RAG pipelines
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Voice & LLM Tech Stack (Any of the Following)
- LLMs: OpenAI, LLaMA, Mistral, Claude, Cohere, Gemini
- NLP: spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers
- Voice AI: Whisper, Deepgram, Vosk, Google STT, Azure Speech, Amazon Polly
- TTS: ElevenLabs, Coqui, Festival
- Vector DBs: Pinecone, Milvus, FAISS, Chroma
Deployment: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure
Nice to Have:
- Experience with multi-modal AI (text + voice)
- Knowledge of LangChain / LlamaIndex
- Experience building AI agents
- Background in conversational AI or call-center automation
- Experience with edge or real-time inference
- MLOps experience (model monitoring, CI/CD for ML)
