AI Engineer

Job Context:

Riseup Labs is seeking an experienced AI Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in building custom Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Voice AI system. The ideal candidate will design, develop, fine-tune, and deploy AI-powered solutions including conversational AI, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, domain-specific language models, and intelligent AI agent. The role also requires strong expertise in prompt engineering, custom RAG systems, tool calling, and performance optimization (latency, concurrency, and scalability).

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy custom LLM-based solutions
• Fine-tune and adapt open-source or proprietary LLMs for domain-specific use cases
• Develop and optimize NLP pipelines (text classification, entity extraction, summarization, intent detection, etc.)
• Build and integrate Voice AI systems (ASR, TTS, conversational voice agents)
• Design and implement custom Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Develop AI agents with tool calling and external system integration
• Optimize model performance, latency, concurrency, and cost efficiency
• Work with large datasets for training, evaluation, and inference
• Implement efficient prompting strategies and prompt structuring
• Integrate AI models with backend services, APIs, and microservices
• Collaborate with product, backend, and frontend teams
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve model quality and reliability
• Ensure AI systems follow security, privacy, and responsible AI practices
• Participate in rapid prototyping and vibe coding for fast AI experimentation

Educational Requirements:

• B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from any reputed public or private university.

Additional Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering
• Strong experience with custom LLM development or fine-tuning
• Solid background in NLP techniques and frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Voice AI (Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech)
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
• Experience with REST/gRPC APIs and model deployment
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and tool calling
• Experience optimizing concurrency, scalability, and low-latency AI inference systems
• Experience building custom RAG architectures for production systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multi-modal AI (text + voice)
• Knowledge of LangChain / LlamaIndex
• Experience building AI agents and autonomous workflows
• Background in conversational AI or call-center automation
• Experience with edge or real-time AI inference
• Experience with MLOps (model monitoring, ML CI/CD)
• Experience building high-concurrency AI systems for large-scale applications

• 09.00 AM -06.00 PM
