The Challenge
Adolescents (aged 10–19) make up one-fifth of Bangladesh’s entire population. While the country has established strong policy frameworks such as the National Adolescent Health Strategy (2013–2020) and the National Plan of Action for Nutrition (2016–2025), translating these national guidelines into grassroots action remains a massive challenge.
There was a critical need to build capacity among thousands of local educators and health workers nationwide. Traditional offline training methods are often slow, difficult to scale, and lack standardized content delivery, making it difficult for stakeholders to understand, monitor, and implement nutrition-related programs effectively in their communities.
The Solution
To solve this, a national-level online training program was developed as a scalable digital training solution, delivered through Muktopaath, which is Bangladesh’s national e-learning platform. The course was designed to be fully digital, self-paced, and accessible nationwide.
Learning Methodology
The course uses a structured and engaging blended digital learning approach, which combines:
- Video-based lessons
- Reading materials
- Summarized content for quick understanding
- Quizzes and assessments
- Feedback collection
Target Audience
The training was specifically designed for community leaders and frontline workers.
- উপজেলা ও থানা শিক্ষা কর্মকর্তা (Upazila and Thana Education Officers)
- একাডেমিক সুপারভাইজার (Academic Supervisors)
- স্বাস্থ্য পরিদর্শক ও স্বাস্থ্য সহকারী (Health Inspectors and Health Assistants)
