Job Context:
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters across multi-site environments. The role focuses on platform automation, security, observability, and lifecycle management while collaborating with cloud, network, and DevOps teams to ensure a scalable and reliable container platform.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cluster Management: Design, deploy, and operate OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters across multi-site and multi-region environments (DC/DR). Manage cluster bring-up, load balancers, DNS, certificates, and Operators (OLM, ACS, ACM, ODF).
- Automation & DevOps: Implement GitOps workflows using Argo CD and automate CI/CD pipelines with Tekton.
- Security & Governance: Manage multi-tenant access, RBAC/SCC, network policies, Pod Security, and admission controls.
- Storage & Resilience: Manage storage and disaster recovery using ODF and OADP/Velero. Maintain DR runbooks, validate backups, and ensure RPO/RTO compliance.
- Observability: Maintain full-stack observability using Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, and EFK/Loki. Define SLO/SLIs, configure alert rules, and provide regular health and capacity reports.
- Lifecycle Operations: Manage the full platform lifecycle, including upgrades, patching, CVE remediation, etcd management, autoscaling, and root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Collaboration: Partner with cloud, network, security, and DevOps teams to integrate OpenShift/Kubernetes with hybrid and multi-cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Educational Requirements:
- B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from any reputed public or private university.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5–8+ years of experience in Linux administration and container platforms.
- 3+ years of hands-on production experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in YAML, Helm, Kustomize, and GitOps methodologies.
- Deep understanding of container networking (CNI, ingress, services, L4/L7).
- Experience with cluster security (ACS or equivalent), policy enforcement, and hardening.
- Proven ability to work in large-scale, globally distributed enterprise environments
