Job Context:
Riseup Labs is seeking an experienced Lead SQA Engineer to oversee the full quality assurance lifecycle for our upcoming project. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise in testing methodologies, and the ability to guide a team toward delivering high-quality software products..
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the QA team, including task assignment, mentoring, and performance oversight.
- Design and implement QA strategies, test processes, and best practices to ensure quality delivery.
- Oversee both manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Review and validate test plans, test cases, and automated scripts created by the QA team.
- Drive API testing, performance testing, regression cycles, and integration testing efforts.
- Monitor, track, and report defects; coordinate with development teams for timely fixes.
- Ensure QA documentation, test reports, and process deliverables meet project standards.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between business, development, and operations teams.
- Evaluate and adopt tools, frameworks, and automation processes to enhance QA productivity.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, security guidelines, and industry-standard QA
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in CSE / EEE / IT or related fields.
Additional Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- At least 2 years in a senior or lead QA role.
- Must provide evidence of minimum 3 completed SQA/testing projects.
- Experience working in any of these industries will be considered an advantage: Software companies, Telecom, ISP, Banking, Mobile Financial Services (MFS) o Enterprise systemsNice to Have:
- Strong expertise in: Manual Testing & Test Strategy Design
- Automation Frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, etc.) o API Testing (Postman, Swagger, JMeter)
- Performance Testing (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test management tools, and version control systems.
- Good understanding of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar). Additional Qualifications
- Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE preferred (not mandatory).
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead under pressure and deliver process-based, high-quality outputs.
Work Place:
- Office Time: 09.00 AM - 06.00 PM
Salary:
- Negotiable (Based on experience and skills)
