Job Context:
Are you a recent graduate in Journalism with a passion for storytelling and a flair for digital media? Riseup Labs is looking for a Digital Journalist to contribute to our online presence by creating and curating compelling content. As a Digital Journalist, you will have the opportunity to work in a creative and collaborative environment, where you'll play a vital role in delivering fresh, informative, and engaging content to our audience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Content Editing: Edit, modify, and polish news articles and other written content as needed. Create compelling and well-researched pieces that resonate with our audience.
- Content Creation: Create compelling and well-researched pieces that resonate with our audience.
- Content Publishing: Publish content on our website and ensure it is well-structured, visually appealing. This is preferred skills. If you don’t have, we can teach you.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to enhance the overall user experience.
- Social Media Engagement: Assist in posting content on our social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. If you don't have prior experience with social media, don't worry! We are willing to provide training to help you excel in this aspect of the role.
- Research: Stay up-to-date with current events, trends, and developments in the industry to generate relevant content ideas.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduated with a degree in Journalism (Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply).
- O-Level or A-Level education is preferable.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong writing and editing skills with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
- A passion for storytelling and the ability to create engaging and informative content.
- Excellent communication skills.
- An interest in digital media and a willingness to learn.
