Job Context:
Senior Website SEO Editor responsible for ensuring that our website is optimized for search engines, helping to drive traffic, and increase our website’s visibility. They will work closely with our content team to create, edit, and optimize website content for search engines. The Senior Website SEO Editor will report to the Project Manager and work collaboratively with other members of the marketing team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to increase organic traffic to our website.
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify high-value keywords to target for optimization.
- Optimize website content including web pages, blog posts, and other digital content for search engines.
- Collaborate with the content team to develop and execute an editorial calendar for website content that is SEO-optimized.
- Conduct website audits to identify technical SEO issues and work with the development team to address these issues.
- Develop and implement link building strategy
- Update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and best practices, and ensure that our website remains compliant with search engine algorithms.
- Monitor and report on website traffic, search engine rankings, and other key SEO metrics to track the success of our SEO efforts.
- Provide recommendations to the marketing team on how to improve website performance and increase organic traffic.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Additional Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of driving traffic and improving search engine rankings.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Experience with keyword research and analysis tools.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO tools.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong understanding of SEO copywriting best practices.
- Experience with website audits and technical SEO.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
