Teachers Portal, or “Shikkhok Batayan,” is a web-based Continuing Professional Development (CPD) platform for primary and secondary education teachers to collaborate, co-create, and problem-solve. Here, instructors participate in a cutting-edge peer-to-peer learning process by producing and exchanging multimedia-based content, elevating their ICT abilities and enabling them to incorporate technology into their classroom learning projects.

Aspire to Innovate (a2i) designed and built this online platform with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.

Core Features

 

User Management:

The User Management module will handle teacher registrations, logins, profile creation, and access control based on roles such as Teacher, Moderator, Education Officer, and Admin. It will maintain detailed profiles including school information, education qualifications, subject expertised , and training participation, while offering dashboards to track individual activity, engagement, and performance metrics.

Content Management:

This module will allow teachers to upload, edit, and manage various types of teaching materials such as class videos, lecture sheet presentations,  and PDFs. Content can be categorized by curriculum-wise subject structure based on class level, with search and tagging features for easy access. It will support collaborative content creation and review workflows, ensuring that shared materials align with national curriculum standards. The subject indexing methods can be modified as needed based on the time and curriculum.

Innovation Corner:

The Innovation Corner will serve as a platform for teachers to submit creative teaching ideas, classroom experiments, or new methodologies. Other users can view, comment, and rate submissions, fostering peer recognition and knowledge sharing. Selected innovations can be featured, and contributors may receive badge as  recognition.

Blog Management:

Through this module, teachers will be able to write and publish blog posts reflecting their teaching experiences, classroom stories, and educational insights. Posts can be categorized and tagged for easier access. The platform will also allow commenting and interaction, encouraging a supportive professional learning community.

News/Slide Bar:

The News/Slide Bar module will display the latest announcements, training opportunities, and educational updates through a News/slide bar. Admins can easily manage content to keep the portal fresh and relevant, with options to highlight blog posts, national programs, or urgent notices.

Automated Recognition:

This system will automatically identify and reward teachers based on predefined criteria such as training completion, content contributions, activity, innovation, and article writing or community engagement. It will generate badges, certificate, and leaderboard positions to motivate participation and acknowledge excellence, with customizable settings for different recognition categories.

Ambassador Management:

The Ambassador Management module will oversee the activities of selected teacher ambassadors responsible for promoting the portal, mentoring peers, and supporting training initiatives. It will track their tasks, performance, and engagement, while providing tools for reporting, communication, and reward management.

Data Archiving:

This module will ensure that outdated content, inactive user accounts, and time-wise badge data are securely archived without being lost. It will support advanced filtering and search functions for easy retrieval, while adhering to data protection regulations to maintain platform performance and long-term usability. User can see their archived data from the archived section by filtering.

Teachers' Portal is now on Mobile!

According to the requirement of A2i, Riseup Labs developed this Mobile app for the Teachers Portal, with the name "Teacher's Guide". The Teacher's Guide is an extension of the web-based learning platform that has made reading books, watching videos, creating content, doing other works, and accessing information easier.

Login and Registration

Teachers can securely log in to their accounts or create new ones directly from the mobile app. This ensures that their data and progress are synchronized across devices.

Users can explore the app's functionalities as guests, allowing them to get a feel for the features and content available before signing up.

The Teacher's Guide feature, integrated into the mobile app, allows teachers to access and read books from the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB). These books are specifically designed to help teachers grasp the new curriculum for classes 1, 6, and 7. Teachers can refer to these resources to better understand the subjects they teach.

The app includes an offline mode. It enables teachers to access previously downloaded content, including the Teacher's Guide books, without an active internet connection. This ensures uninterrupted learning, even in areas with limited connectivity.
